Senior Pastor George Magdalany and Family God did a wonderful work of healing and restoration in George's life which started when he gave his life to Jesus in 1982. As he saturated himself with God's Word and God's Spirit, George began to sense a calling and a desire to bring this same hope to others. God graciously gave him the opportunity to become the pastor of Hope Chapel in Hawthorne in 1995. There were less than fifteen people in attendance and the church had gone through much sorrow-the pastors were growing weary and ready to retire. A wind of hope blew throughout the congregation and God graciously restored the ministry of Hope Chapel. Since then, he has had the opportunity to make a significant impact in the city of Hawthorne, which happens to be the city in which he grew up. The main focus of his ministry today is to emphasize the hope we have in Christ, both for this life and the life to come. His spiritual gifts include exhortation and pastoring. His wife Maria and sons Joshua, Joseph, and George Jr. minister with the joy of the Lord and count it an honor to do so!
